What is an Apostille, and Why Do You Need One?
Definition
An apostille is essentially an international stamp of authentication. It verifies that a document is genuine and can be used in countries that are members of the Hague Convention.
Purpose
When you need to use documents (like birth certificates, diplomas, or business papers) in another country, that country may require them to be apostilled to confirm their authenticity.
Examples
If you're planning to work, study, get married, or conduct business overseas, you'll likely need an apostille for certain documents.
Common Documents We Apostille:
Birth Certificates
Power of Attorney
Notarized Documents
Real Estate Documents
Corporate Documents
Marriage Certificates
Don't see your document type on this list? No worries - we apostille all kinds of documents, just give us a call & we'll be happy to help you.
Also, it's important to note that some documents, especially those that aren't issued by a government entity, often *require notarization before they can be apostilled*. This means a notary public will need to verify the signature on the document, which we can also help you with!
